For parents, carers and young people.
Safe Link CYPSVAs are trained and accredited and can work directly with children and young people. Our Family ISVA can work with parents/carers alongside the child’s CYPSVA.
We can meet with you wherever you feel most comfortable, which could be at home, school, a café, outdoor area, or over the phone and through virtual meetings. We can provide a safe space to talk, emotional support, help to communicate with school, college or other professionals.
We will help you feel safe and if you choose, we can offer support to report the incident and attend court. We can also offer ongoing help after the court process.
We understand how scary or confusing it can be and do our best to help you understand what is happening, helping you to ask questions and talk to the police if needed.
We also refer into other services such as support groups, counselling, creative groups, substance abuse services and many more – depending on what you need and want. We can also signpost families to other specialist services and helplines.
If you chose to talk to us we will offer:
- A safe place to talk about what happened
- Confidential advice
- Practical and emotional support
- Referrals to counselling
- Information on other support services
We can:
- Support you to cope with what happened
- Support you to decide what to do next
- Talk to your school/college
- Help you to think about your future
- Help you cope with what has happened
